The Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA) at Gadjah Mada University is once again conducting a student placement program as part of the Impactful Internship Program for the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. This program officially began on February 10, 2026, and is being participated in by 84 sixth-semester students, who will undergo off-campus learning through hands-on workplace experience.
A total of 22 partner institutions are involved in this Impactful Internship Program, representing various sectors, including government agencies, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), private companies, and research institutions.

During the program, students will be directly involved in various professional activities aligned with each partner’s field of work. This provides students with an opportunity to apply the knowledge they have gained during their studies, while honing their adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills in a real-world work environment. Additionally, this impactful internship program can be converted into 10–20 credit hours in accordance with the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA) Program Study curriculum, thereby providing academic recognition for the learning experiences students gain.
With the implementation of this program, the UGM EPA Program Study remains committed to supporting the development of excellent, adaptable, and workforce-ready human resources. The Impactful Internship Program is expected to serve as a strategic platform for students to develop their competencies while simultaneously creating a positive impact for partners and the broader community.
