Yogyakarta, July 3, 2025 – The Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA) Study Program held an online MAX DEA training session via Zoom Meeting, attended by lecturers. The event featured Mr. Abi Pratiwa Siregar, S.P., M.Sc., as the speaker, who has experience in using the MAX DEA software for efficiency and productivity analysis.
The training aimed to enhance faculty members’ capacity in utilizing the MAX DEA software as a tool for Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which is widely used in research fields such as economics, agriculture, and management.
The training materials covered an introduction to MAX DEA, including its functions, uses, and advantages over other analysis tools. The session also covered the procedures for using MAX DEA, from data input to variable settings and interpreting analysis results. Hands-on practice was provided so participants could understand the operational steps for using MAX DEA in research and teaching.
This training is in line with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including: SDG 4 – Quality Education: Improving the capacity of educators through technology-based training to support quality learning. SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: Encouraging the use of innovation in research and scientific development. SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing between academics and practitioners.
Through this activity, EPA lecturers can more optimally utilize modern analytical tools to support the quality of research and learning. Additionally, this training aligns with the program’s commitment to continuously enhancing the competencies of educators, enabling them to make greater contributions to the development of knowledge and problem-solving in the fields of agriculture and agribusiness.
