Magelang, April 22, 2025 – The Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) Supervisory Lecturer Team from the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA) Study Program, Asih Kusumaningsih, SP., M.Sc., as MBKM supervisor for internship students at Bulog Magelang Regency, along with two other lecturers, namely Ir. Any Suryantini, M.M., Ph.D. and Agus Dwi Nugroho, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. visited to monitor the progress of two students undergoing internships at Bulog Magelang Regency. This visit aims to evaluate the progress of internship activities that have been undertaken by students for approximately two months.
Mifta Rahma S.P., M.Sc., the Deputy Head of BULOG Magelang District Branch Office, and two internship students, Nadya Mangesti Wibowo and Vera Kurniawati, attended the meeting. Both students were involved in various important activities directly related to Bulog operations, especially grain absorption.
Nadya Mangesti Wibowo is assigned to the Commercial Department. In her duties, Nadya records grain sales, compiles a list of distributor names and small partners, and records commercial commodities traded. This activity not only provides an in-depth understanding of Bulog’s role in food distribution but also provides insight into the broader management of food commodities.
Vera Kurniawati was placed in the Procurement section, where she was involved in recording virtual warehouse data and managing information on partners, especially those related to sugar processing. Vera’s assignment provided practical experience in logistics and supply chain management, which is crucial in Bulog’s activities, and the importance of data in food stock management. Both students were also involved in grain absorption activities, which are part of Bulog’s efforts to ensure food supply in the region.
This monitoring activity is part of the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program’s commitment to increasing student academic capacity. It is also in line with the SDGS goals: SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17: Partnerships for Goals.
EPA hopes that the MBKM internship program at Bulog Magelang Regency can continue to grow and provide students with deeper experience in understanding the dynamics of the food sector, distribution, and agricultural policy. With students’ active involvement in data management and grain absorption, they are expected to gain in-depth practical skills and a broader understanding of the food security system in Indonesia.
