Strengthening the Capacity of EPA Lecturers in Human Resource Management Towards Excellent and Competitive Agribusiness

In an effort to strengthen the capacity of lecturers in the field of human resource management (HRM), the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA) Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, assigned two of its lecturers, Asih Kusumaningsih, S.P., M.Sc., and Pinjung Nawang Sari, S.P., M.Sc., to participate in the HR Manager Training and Certification program organized by a professional training institution in Yogyakarta.

The training was held on August 14–15, 2025, in person at the Malyhabara Hotel, Yogyakarta, with A. Noegroho Driprijanto, an experienced practitioner in the field of HR management, as the instructor. The activity continued with the BNSP Human Resource Manager Scheme certification on August 22, 2025, which was conducted online with assessor Dr. Aditya Nanda Priyatama, S.Psi., M.Si.

Enhancing Entrepreneurship Capacity, UGM EPA Lecturers Achieve Business Incubator Consultant Certification

Lecturers from the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA) Study Program, Agus Dwi Nugroho, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., and Arif Wahyu Widada, S.P., M.Sc., participated in the “Business Incubator Consultant” Training and Certification held by the Indonesian Management Forum (FMI) in Yogyakarta on July 31 – August 2, 2025. This activity is part of staff development efforts focused on improving lecturers’ competencies in entrepreneurship and business incubator-based MSME assistance. This staff development program is one of the implementations of the Impactful Campus Competition Program (PKKB) from the Higher Education Database Center (PDDIKTI).

Women Empowerment: EPA UGM Students Empower PKK Mothers of Kalimundu through Corncob Briquette Production from Manufacturing to Marketing

The PKM-PM BIJAK UGM Team, funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), carried out a program entitled “Empowerment of PKK Kalimundu through Processing of Agricultural Waste Corncobs into Briquettes with Optimization of Caloric Combustion”. This activity aims to empower PKK mothers in Kalimundu Hamlet, Gadingharjo Village, Sanden District, Bantul Regency, by processing agricultural waste into environmentally friendly briquettes that hold economic value, thereby promoting community welfare improvement.

EPA UGM Village Project Deployment at the Organic Rice Farmers Group, Sleman Regency

The activity carried the theme “Program to enhance students’ understanding and capabilities in developing joint marketing concepts through the Village Project model.” This Village Project was participated in by 15 EPA students from the 2022 batch under the guidance of Hariyani Dwi Anjani, S.P., M.Sc., Sugiyarto, S.P., M.Sc., and Dr. Ir. Improving Technology Literacy and Business Networking, UGM EPA Students Implement Village Project in Temanggung

Yogyakarta, September 16, 2025 – The Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA) Program, Faculty of Agriculture, UGM, conducted a Village Project deployment in Candiroto District, Temanggung Regency, in collaboration with Perhutani Kedu Utara Candiroto Forest Division as a field partner. The project focuses on the theme “Village Project to enhance students’ understanding and skills in technology use through the dissemination of technological knowledge and innovations to farmers via the utilization of Digital Technology Applications for business network expansion.” This Village Project was participated in by 15 students from the 2022 EPA class under the guidance of Dr. Hani Perwitasari, S.P., M.Sc., Arif Wahyu Widada, S.P., M.Sc., and Prof. Dr. Ir. 🌾 Nazla Amanda Kamila Wins Best Graduate Award from the Faculty of Agriculture, UGM with a GPA of 3.98

Yogyakarta, August 28, 2025 — Another proud achievement has been made by Nazla Amanda Kamila, a student of the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Undergraduate Program, who won the title of Best Graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, at the Undergraduate and Diploma Graduation Ceremony for Period IV of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. With a cumulative GPA of 3.98, Nazla demonstrated her dedication and consistency in pursuing her studies in agricultural economics.

During her time at the Faculty of Agriculture, Nazla was known as an active, diligent, and highly dedicated individual, both in academic activities and student organizations. Her commitment to agribusiness and agricultural economics was reflected in various research projects, participation in scientific forums, and her involvement in community empowerment programs based on sustainable agriculture.

UGM Bachelor’s and Diploma Graduation 2024/2025: 39 EPA Graduates Successfully Complete Their Studies

Yogyakarta, August 28, 2025 — A total of 39 students from the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), were officially graduated in the Undergraduate and Diploma Graduation Ceremony for Period IV of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, which was held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Grha Sabha Pramana, UGM.

This graduation ceremony marked a significant milestone, signifying the culmination of the students’ studies and the commencement of their journey to contribute to society as competent, adaptable, and agripreneurial graduates. The presence of parents, lecturers, and the academic community added to the solemnity of the event, which was also filled with messages of motivation and appreciation for the achievements of the graduates.
