Yogyakarta, June 2, 2025—The Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program has successfully held the Entrepreneurship Practicum EXPO 2025, which is part of the even-semester practicum activities for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This activity aims to encourage students to develop an entrepreneurial spirit through the creation of products and businesses based on creative ideas relevant to the community’s needs.a

Twenty-two student groups of 3 to 5 people participated in this activity. Before the expo, participants compiled a Business Model Canvas (BMC), which was then realized in the form of real products and exhibited at the expo. The products were mainly processed foods and beverages, such as donuts, ice cream, fruit juice, and processed bananas.

Each group set up an exhibition stand, sold their products to visitors, and presented their business to an audience and a jury of EPA Study Program lecturers. This activity not only provided a showroom but also provided an opportunity for students to hone their communication, marketing, and team collaboration skills.

This EXPO was enthusiastically received by students and education staff, who also attended as visitors and voted for their favorite stands using star stickers. As a token of appreciation, four winners, consisting of two Best Teams and two Favorites, were announced.

Best Team – Segigit Corndog Team and Silkpop! Team
Favorit Team – Matsuberry Team and Dimsay.oor Team

More than just an academic activity, the Entrepreneurship Practicum EXPO 2025 also contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4: Quality Education, by providing hands-on learning experiences. SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through developing entrepreneurial skills early to create employment opportunities. SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production is achieved by creating products that consider sustainability and local potential.

With the spirit of innovation and independence, this EXPO is a concrete platform to form a young generation ready to contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic development.
