Yogyakarta, June 3, 2025 – The Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program hosted an online guest lecture on Agricultural Management and Economics via Zoom Meeting. This activity raised the theme “Indonesian and Global Macroeconomic Conditions: Opportunities and Challenges” by presenting Ikhlas, S.Si, as Equity Manager at Mandiri Manajemen Investasi (MMI), Bank Mandiri, as the main speaker.

This activity aims to enrich students’ understanding of the dynamics of the global and national economy, which continue to develop and become increasingly complex. The resource person explained the latest analysis from a macroeconomic perspective, both globally and domestically, as well as how global economic trends and risks can impact market stability, the real sector, and agricultural development in Indonesia. read more

Yogyakarta, June 3, 2025 – The Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program again presents an inspiring learning experience through the Entrepreneurship Guest Lecture. Located in the MMA Auditorium, Building A10 Sosek 3rd Floor, this guest lecture discussed “Utilization of Natural Fibers for the Sustainable Fashion Industry.” It was attended by all students participating in entrepreneurship courses in the even semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
The guest speaker was Hari Agung Wicaksono, M.Pd, a fashion designer and owner of Hari Agung Kebaya, who has been actively developing fashion based on natural fibers and local wisdom. read more

Yogyakarta, June 2, 2025—The Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program has successfully held the Entrepreneurship Practicum EXPO 2025, which is part of the even-semester practicum activities for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This activity aims to encourage students to develop an entrepreneurial spirit through the creation of products and businesses based on creative ideas relevant to the community’s needs.a

Twenty-two student groups of 3 to 5 people participated in this activity. Before the expo, participants compiled a Business Model Canvas (BMC), which was then realized in the form of real products and exhibited at the expo. The products were mainly processed foods and beverages, such as donuts, ice cream, fruit juice, and processed bananas. read more

Yogyakarta, May 8, 2025—Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) Phase III for students participating in the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program was held on May 10, 2025, online via Zoom Meeting. Monitoring and Evaluation of the MBKM Internship scheme starts at 13.00 WIB and is attended by students, supervisors, and partner representatives. Monitoring aims to review the progress of internship implementation, evaluate learning achievements, and provide directions for improvement for a more optimal internship implementation. read more

Magelang, April 22, 2025 – The Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) Supervisory Lecturer Team from the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA) Study Program, Asih Kusumaningsih, SP., M.Sc., as MBKM supervisor for internship students at Bulog Magelang Regency, along with two other lecturers, namely Ir. Any Suryantini, M.M., Ph.D. and Agus Dwi Nugroho, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. visited to monitor the progress of two students undergoing internships at Bulog Magelang Regency. This visit aims to evaluate the progress of internship activities that have been undertaken by students for approximately two months. read more

Magelang, April 22, 2025 – The supervisor team of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) Internship Program from the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program (EPA), Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University, carried out monitoring and evaluation activities for students who were undergoing the MBKM internship program at the Agriculture and Food Service Office of Magelang Regency.

During this visit, the accompanying lecturers discussed directly with the DPP of Magelang District, including the Head of the General and Personnel Subdivision, to review the development and contribution of students over the past two months. Currently, students are placed in several Agricultural Extension Centers (BPP) in various sub-districts and are scheduled to complete their placement in BPP on May 7, 2025. read more

Yogyakarta, April 17, 2025 – Universitas Gadjah Mada has held a Professor Inauguration ceremony for Prof. Dr. Jamhari, S.P., M.P. as a Professor in Agricultural Marketing Science. The event was held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Senate Hall of Universitas Gadjah Mada.

In his inaugural speech entitled “Agricultural Marketing as an Accelerator of Agribusiness Development and Improvement of Farmers’ Welfare,” Prof. Dr. Jamhari, S.P., M.P. explained that the auction market has a vital role in improving marketing efficiency by shortening the distribution chain. This allows farmers to connect directly with large buyers so that price transmission between consumers and producers runs effectively and reduces price distortions. read more

Therefore, this guest lecture presented an experienced resource person in the startup and business field, Janu Muhammad, S.Pd., M.Sc., Founder and CEO of Sayur Sleman, to share insights on strategies in selecting team members, building synergy, and managing dynamics in the founding team. read more
